Dr Benedict M Devereaux MB BS MPhil FACG FRACP

 

Dr Devereaux graduated from the University of Queensland in 1991 and completed his general medical and specialist gastroenterology training at the Royal Brisbane Hospital. He was awarded fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 1998.

From 1999 to 2001 Dr Devereaux completed further training in the sub-specialist areas of Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) and Endoscopic Retrograde Colangeo-Pancreatography (ERCP) at Indiana University, USA. In 2006 he completed a Masters of Philosophy and was awarded Fellowship to the American College of Gastroenterology.

Dr Devereaux conducts a private practice through Digestive Diseases Queensland at the Holy Spirit Northside Hospital. He is also committed to the public health system and maintains strong ties with colleagues through a weekly teaching session at the Royal Brisbane and Womens Hospital. He performs procedures at Chermside Day Hospital, Wesley, North West Private and Holy Spirit Northside Hospitals.

Dr Devereaux is currently the Chariman for Chermside Day Hosptial.
