Dr Patrick Walsh BSc MB ChB FRACP

 

Dr Patrick Walsh completed his medical training through the University of Otago in New Zealand. He then moved to Australia where he did his physician training and advanced training in gastroenterology in Sydney.

Having completed his gastroenterology training he did an additional two years of post-fellowship training. The first year was in Endoscopic Ultrasound at St Vincent's Hospital, Sydney. The second year was at West Mead Hospital, Sydney in the Endoscopy Fellow position, one of the most prestigious endoscopic positions in Australia.

Following this he travelled to the United States where he underwent additional training in advanced Endoscopy and Endoscopic Ultrasound. He was a member of the faculty at the Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston Salem, North Carolina.

Dr Walsh returned to Australia and set-up a private practice in Brisbane. He has a public appointment at the Royal Brisbane Hospital. 

Dr Walsh conducts a private practice through Digestive Diseases Queensland at the Holy Spirit Northside Hospital and performs procedures at Chermside Day Hospital, Brisbane Endoscopy Services at Sunnybank, Wesley, North West and Holy Spirit Private Hospitals.
